By reserving the Family Life Center as a Bethany member, you agree to BE PRESENT yourself at the event and to MEET THE COMMITMENTS outlined below. REMEMBER: You are reserving the use of the FLC. Other areas of Bethany are NOT included in the reservation. (NOTE: you may preplan the temperature setting in the FLC by contacting (at least one week in advance) the office at 919-266-3273 or the Property Chairperson using the phone number listed in Breeze.) 1. DECORATIONS a. Use ONLY the cork board strips for hanging decorations. Remove all decorations at the end of the event including any signage and tape on the outside of the buildings or on the doors. 2. TABLES AND CHAIRS a. Use only the folding chairs and tables stored in the FLC. The tables and chairs in other areas are NOT to be borrowed and moved to the FLC. b. Clean the tables, chairs and baby highchairs and return them to their original location in the FLC. Please be CAREFUL not to slide either the chairs or the tables on the floor to prevent black marks. 3. TRASH a. Dispose of all unused foods. Empty bathroom trash cans into the kitchen trash can. Tie the trash bag(s) and dispose of all trash in the outdoor trash receptacle. Ensure that the floor is clean of any drippings from the trash bag(s). Clean the area around the door to prevent ants when necessary. Replace all trash bags with a new one. 4. KITCHEN a. Wash, dry and put away all dishes, glasses and utensils used. Do NOT leave anything in the dish drainer to dry! b. Clean the sinks and the counters in the kitchen. Return all cleaning supplies to their original location. c. Paper products (disposable plates, napkins, cups, forks, etc) are not included with the use of the FLC. These items should be supplied by the member requesting the reservation. 5. FLOORS a. Wipe up all spills and black marks on the floors using damp paper towels. b. Sweep the floor in the main room and the kitchen using the large dry push mop stored in the kitchen to the side of the refrigerator. 6. BATHROOMS a. Check the bathrooms to ensure that sink faucets are not running, the toilets are flushed, and the floors are clean. Replenish tissue and paper towels as needed. 7. BEFORE YOU LEAVE a. Check that no personal items are left behind. b. Turn off all lights except the ones over the water fountains and in the restrooms (these are automatic). c. Lock all doors. 8. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS a. Donations to offset the cost of electricity and heating / cooling are welcome! Just include your name and the date of your event on the Bethany Offering envelope or online at www.wearebethany.com/give if you wish to donate. b. Please be aware that you may be expected to cover the expense of any repair if property damage results from your event or if the requested housekeeping outlined above is not completed. EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION IS POSTED INSIDE THE KITCHEN A FIRST AID KIT IS AVAILABLE IN THE UPPER CABINET TO THE RIGHT OF THE ICE MACHINE. SIGN BELOW TO AGREE TO THESE COMMITMENTS.
